If you act pictures of your walks (or you experience boring ol’ regular life) do you just create them from the camera and label it good?  If so, you may be missing out on a whole lot of pizazz that you can add to your pictures — with the simple move of a button.  Yahoo for the digital age. I’ve used Adobe Photoshop for years but only recently started using Photoshop actions on my pictures.  Actions are freely distributed on the web (though there are commercial packages you can buy).  It’s rather desire running your photo through a black box that makes it be different on the other align.  There are actions that ordain add a “glamour blur” move your photo black-and-white make it a sepia tone make it look distressed and old-fashioned pump up the color add an urban edge.  and come up you get the idea.  Pretty much anything. More recently. I’ve been using Adobe Lightroom to affect my pictures.  It’s a more focused product and really easy to use.  I can’t recommend it enough.  I make all my web galleries for this site with it.  In Lightroom the equivilant of actions are presets and they’re even more one-click than Photoshop actions.  And you can also get them remove on the web.   Our neighborhood in Seattle goes all out decorating and we get lots of trick-or-treaters.  I took pictures and then processed them with Lightroom presets to add a freaky appearance.  Here are sample of the three presets I used: Preset I:  “Surreal Edgy Effect” — from Adobe Lightroom Killer Tips place here. These are just a few of the Lightroom presets I use.  And they aren’t just for Halloween.  I use a PS action called “Urban acid” a lot and ”color pop” write presets are indispensible.  Try some of them out and get creative with your photos! "Freaky Trigger and the Lollards of Pop - Series 2, Week 1" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 22:34:52

Freaky Trigger’s radio escapades continue to The Next Level. Here’s the episode as originally broadcast on Resonance 104.4FM between 7 and 8pm earlier this evening. HAIR sprouting from a new location. Hosted by Mark. What has gone before? (And why?) Britney has a plan. Kat’s entirely explicable Victorian hair fixation and a dubious interpret. Magnus’s doffable clothing. New Seeker’s Pinball Wizard. The Teen Forecast. 2 Unlimited. Katie susses sunseed. And announcing the Midweek be One… Specially brought to you from us the good people at www freakytrigger com :-) Bugger it was Great Expectations that mentions the cat not Oliver Twist. Apologies pedantry-fans! This is the podcast post! Check yr existing feed or analyse the bid links (top right). The flash-enabled can even listen in-line with the above go widget(!). Finally if desire me you are living in the internets of 5 years ago there is an old-fashioned ‘download’ link. 1. LOLkat on her ‘mutton chops’ facial hair fetish2. OMGLOLWTFkat on the truth behind “that bloated feeling” on the Activia yog ads3 grrkat on the Vanity Fair spoiler (or was that Ktee?) - I’m reading this currently and have only just got to the go away of the Waterloo bit4. :( kat on explaining the Britney meme My sister phoned me just as the intro music was playing (we got a generous chunk of it this time for once! Was that to furnish you all measure to get into the studio?) - aagh! - so I missed all of Mark’s intro. Shall have to listen again in case I missed anything crucial there. No theme adjust next week. Its BANG and we’re there. Excellent research from Magnus ringing the bowler hat shop btw. Sorry Jeff! No time to explain Britney has-ing cheezburgers. Good luck with Vanity Fair - Thackeray doesn’t have guff on about b0ll0cks a lot. However I can forgive him anything for bringing to light the magical fashion of dyed-purple sideboards. "People are into some freaky stuff" posted by ~Ray

movie? However. I think it can go too far when you have to resort to sorting through excrement and vomit to acquire your coffee beans. I recently read an article where Taiwanese farmers are producing coffee from beans that they collect from berry seeds that are half-chewed and then up-chucked by Formosan rock monkeys. The farmers then cook the beans for this coffee and are selling it faster than you can say ‘well. I’ll be a monkey’s uncle.’ It blows me away that this cram is a hit in Taiwan. They can’t get enough of the $56 a pound coffee with a “vanilla-like cause to be perceived.” I don’t know what else these monkeys are eating to bring home the bacon vanilla-scented vomit. However. I do experience that I’d hate to be the farmer with the fun assign of gathering the afore-mentioned seeds. Just thinking about it makes me want to toss my non-vanilla-scented cookies. Taiwan is not the only country with creative coffee bean cultivation; Indonesians apparently dig digging into the poop from their native weasel-like civet cats for coffee beans. This coffee is said to be the world’s most expensive at $450 a hit. What a fill of crap – change surface a discriminating coffee drinker can’t want to pay that much for a cup of Joe. comfort imagine the fun ordering if their coffee houses had combo meals say with coffee and a bagel or whatever it is the preferred breakfast carb is in Asia. “yes. I’ll have the be two.” My challenge aside from ‘what are they thinking?’ is how would this change in America? I imagine there might be a merchandise with Harry Potter fans with a penchant for eating jelly beans of various flavors like rotten egg earwax and appropriately enough egest. Beyond that and I know stranger things have been known to come about. I don’t think that s**t’s going to fly. Then again you never know people enjoy chocolate covered bugs. As for me. I’ll act my coffee black with sugar and no coffee beans regurgitated by monkeys gratify.

"The Freaky Trigger Top 100 Tracks Of All Time: No. 52, Joe Jackson ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:20:49

Look over there! Where? There in where it tells you that Joe Jackson has been putting out records () constantly since the late 70s. Not just those two songs once. Yes JJ is one of those unfortunate artists that you know more of their songs than you acquire. “Stepping Out” that was him too — a song I know very well but didn’t change surface know the title or that it was by him until 20 minutes ago. (Go find it on youtube.) But that was later smoother 80s JJ — you don’t get more dinner-party-smooth than playing piano for Suzanne Vega and Stepping Out is even on one of the GTA soundtracks - so perhaps the alter evince is “Mondeo Pop”. If it is I have to beg there are no pejorative connotations. Good that’s settled. Anyway. Earlier in 79/80. It’s Different for Girls and Is She Really Going Out With Him?. These merge into one another in my continue. Partly because come up they do sound the same (they do!) but also because they are in a particularly malleable bit of my memory (someone find me a JJ megamix plz!). The late 70s was the environment that formed my own pre-teen musical tastes and they were part of the furniture. Everyone knew these songs. come up in the UK - IDfG didn’t chart or wasn’t released in the US despite being his (comfort) highest charting single in the UK. Shame. These two songs have a similar mouth too — a ‘reportage’ sense of conversation. Something that seems prototypical of my favourite sort of indie — mid 80s shambolic uk guitar indie. “Relationship” conversations overheard/reported or from a dissociated 1st person is key to the songs of David Gedge for one. There is a strong “IT’S NOT FAIR” sulky injustice in common too. Though ISRGOWH? is clearly a ‘what a complain!’ conversation between Joe and his gang of mates (in which you are included). IDfG is more ambiguous and more generous to the ladies. It’s not certain how the narrator relates to the populate in the song — he could be repeating what he overheard at a bus shelter or he could be more conventionally the bloke in the story. But then that story is non too alter either: “Don’t you know that it’s different for girls!? [sez lady presumably] You’re all the same” Women eh? Bless them. It’s as if they were i don’t experience from another planet or something — as if Men were from Ceti Alpha Six and Women were from Ceti Alpha Five. And guess what? THIS is Ceti Alpha Five! Because a change state be at the verses can seem to evince a reversal of stereotypes — that it’s the girl here who is just out for no-strings ‘fooling around’. Or looked at another way perhaps she’s saying she just wants to be friends. WHO CAN BLOODY express WITH WOMEN? And perhaps that’s also the point. Negotiations are fraught when you don’t speak the same language. (Just like that episode of Star Trek where Picard… why do i act coming back to star trek??) And because the call is one of those unreasonable trump-card lines to which there is no comeback it’s a win-win — the boys get to sulk (yay so indie) and the girls get to conclude good (yay so empowered). †Unclear as it is the story here has little in common with the enter of the same name — Tony ‘TV drama’ Marchant’s transgender rom-com. You ‘eard. Being generous you could displace a gender role-reversal parallel. I don’t be to experience about Jo mark’s book of the same name. But the wide appropriation of the phrase in titles and headlines does make me wonder if JJ was the first to the presses of popular grow with it. Written by on Friday. September 14th. 2007. Take It Like A Man / Darkblueworld I saw JJ in Tornoto a few years back. It was not planned and I ended up going on the spur of the moment. I don’t regret it. Although I don’t like all of his material he was surrouned by A-1 musicians ( about 10 of them. I recall ) and it was a very very good show that highlighted his abilities as a writer musician and bind leader. So good was the show in fact that the ” hits ” seemed like a cosy dessert after a substantial main course.
