CRADLE OF FILTH were the headliners of the first night. Their contrive started at exactly 11 pm (one must acknowledge the organizers’ efforts to maintain the program) with Dirge Inferno continuing with another new song – Tonight in Flames. The public welcomed them quite ecstatically and soon enough Dani recognized the “f***ing vampires” who seemingly dwell at the Black Sea. While these two first songs sounded quite well – as they belong to the recent creations of the bind – unfortunately i cannot say the same thing about the songs that followed. The instrumental performance was quite astonishing but you must had been deaf not to be irritated by the lack of fit and synchronization between the drums and guitars. As the concert headed towards great songs such as Her Ghost in the Fog or Nymphetamine the dissonance was more and more irritating and saddening. As for the latest. I am quite sure they could have found a exceed soprano singer to act Liv Kristine’s move. It was a relief for me to hear the lyrics and the voice in my head and not as it sounded on re-create. Furthermore it was not seldom that I heard Dani breathe and make huge efforts to obtain those incredible screams that used to be his trademark. To sum up it was a contrive for all tastes but sadly shadowed by appear problems by the lack of proper interest from the band members – I saw a band that has somewhere on the road lost the pleasure of playing and have stopped performing for the public and out of passion. I’m not trying to accuse CRADLE OF FILTH of anything and I truly respect their bring home the bacon but in spite of the jolly atmosphere there was no actual feeling put in this concert. It was a desire awaited show a remembrance of old days another band checked on the “must see” list. When it finished with the once ameliorate From hold to Enslave. I just remained there on the close in thinking how this will certainly leave a mark on all those who saw it. I admit that I enjoyed the show however if it had taken displace several years ago it would undergo been a whole other thing and the feeling of fulfillment would undergo been almost complete.
